Job Description
At PPC, we are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor who can lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems in real time, coaching employees, and helping operations run smoothly from shift start to finish.
As the primary leadership presence on the assigned shift, the Production Supervisor plays a key role in supporting production goals, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and overall plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate production activities to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery goals
- Review production schedules and prioritize workflow based on customer and operational needs
- Monitor machinery, equipment, and staffing to maximize production performance and minimize downtime
- Communicate production expectations clearly with operators and team members
- Coach, train, and develop employees on standard operating procedures and best practices
- Support a positive team environment through effective communication and employee relations
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies
- Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, quality, and food safety standards
- Maintain accurate production documentation, reporting, and employee time records
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction
- Partner with maintenance, quality, scheduling, and leadership teams to support operational success
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help drive a culture of accountability and teamwork
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing and/or flexographic printing experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead employees in a fast-paced production environment
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
- Experience coaching and developing employees
- Ability to read production schedules and adapt to changing priorities
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent required
