About This Opportunity
This is a foundational role supporting the growth of Samyang Mexico, playing a key part in expanding our presence in the Mexico market. While this position is posted on the Samyang America careers page, the selected candidate will be employed by the Mexico entity and subject to applicable Mexico employment laws and benefits.
Location & Work Model
This role will begin remotely and transition to a hybrid work model once our CDMX office opens.
Position Overview
The Sales Sr Manager Central America & Caribbean – Distributors is a high-impact role responsible for driving sell-in and sell-out execution and delivering revenue growth across Central America & the Caribbean, with focus in distributors Sell-In & Sell-Out.
This role requires a Sr Managerial level professional with deep knowledge of Central America and Caribbean retail-trade ecosystem, a proven track record of revenue growth, and established relationships with owners and commercial directors of top distribution groups networks. The position will lead day-to-day commercial execution with distributors, translate GTM direction into in-market action, and drive KPI-based performance management, building a team capable of delivering best-in-class execution nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & National Growth
Execute the regional sales plan for Central America & the Caribbean, delivering revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
Expand market coverage through top distributors and route-to-market execution (coverage, frequency, assortment, visibility).
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities across the area by turning insights into distributor action plans (whitespace doors, assortment expansion, promo calendar adherence).
Distributor & Key Account Management
Own relationships with owners and commercial directors of top retail distribution groups.
Lead joint business planning, monthly/quarterly performance reviews, negotiations, and commercial agreements to maximize coverage and profitability.
Drive distributors' performance through scorecards (sell-in, sell-out, distribution, inventory health), trade spend effectiveness, incentives, and operational excellence.
Ensure flawless execution of product launches, promotions, and in-store programs including pricing compliance, POSM deployment, and on-shelf availability.
Sales Performance & Execution
Execute weekly/monthly sales forecasting, pricing, and promotional planning for Central America & Caribbean aligned with corporate direction.
Monitor and analyze KPIs through standard dashboards including revenue, distribution, sell-out, trade spend, and inventory levels.
Implement corrective actions via root-cause analysis, field priorities, and distributor follow-up to achieve growth targets and optimize execution.
Oversee distributor sales teams to ensure consistent execution through call standards, coaching, and store-level compliance checks.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
Foster a culture of accountability, results, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for key roles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with marketing, trade marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to remove execution blockers and deliver distributor commitments.
Align on product launches and promotional programs and drive in-market rollout calendars, distributor toolkits, and execution readiness.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local regulations, trade practices, and company policies.
Maintain robust reporting and transparency.
Own distributor execution governance including trade terms adherence, claims/deductions discipline, and timely, accurate sell-out reporting.
Representation & Influence
Act as a trusted commercial leader in meetings with distributors and key retailers.
Represent Samyang at industry forums and trade events.
Provide strategic insights and updates to executive leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
8+ years of senior sales experience in FMCG/CPG, focused on Central America & Caribbean.
Proven track record managing retail consumer goods products distributors.
Established, high-level relationships with owners and commercial directors of distributors.
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, national coverage, and execution excellence.
Experience building, leading, and scaling sales teams.
Fluent English (100% required); Spanish native or fluent preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
