Job Description
The Painter is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance and upkeep of the property by applying paint, finishes, and protective coatings to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other surfaces. This role ensures all painting work meets brand standards while contributing to overall guest satisfaction, safety, and property maintenance. The Painter supports facilities operations through surface preparation, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with the Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities 1. Painting Operations & Surface MaintenanceSurface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, stripping, and applying primers or sealers to ensure high-quality finishes.
Painting Application: Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment while maintaining brand standards and color specifications.
Finishing & Detailing: Ensure smooth, consistent finishes across surfaces including walls, ceilings, and furniture.
Material Handling: Mix and modify paints, stains, and finishes as necessary to achieve required colors and consistency.
2. Facilities & Maintenance SupportSurface Protection: Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, masking materials, and signage during painting activities.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and store painting tools and equipment properly after use.
Vendor Coordination: Support coordination with vendors for specialized paint requirements and color matching.
General Maintenance Support: Assist the Engineering team with maintenance tasks to ensure overall property upkeep.
3. Safety, Compliance & Quality AssuranceSafety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures including proper use of PPE, safe handling of chemicals, and adherence to hazardous material guidelines.
Workplace Safety: Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly.
Quality Standards: Ensure all painting work meets company standards for quality, durability, and presentation.
Housekeeping: Maintain clean and organized work areas before, during, and after tasks.
4. Guest & Team SupportGuest Service: Interact with guests professionally, ensuring minimal disruption and addressing requests or concerns promptly.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and other departments to support operational needs.
Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with team members and supervisors.
Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills: Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing applications.
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality finishes with precision and consistency.
Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of painting materials and equipment.
Teamwork & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Physical Capability: Ability to perform manual work including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and handling tools and materials.
