Outpatient Pharmacy Technician (Certified)

JOB SUMMARY 

Pharmacy technicians (PhT) assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the medication inventory, and maintaining patient records. They assist the pharmacist by filling prescriptions for medications. PhTs assist with vaccine handling and administration. PhTs function under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Free of felony convictions. 
• High school diploma, GED or foreign school diploma equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma.
• Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing in the State of Ohio. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required. 

PREFERRED

• One-year retail pharmacy experience 
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program or employer-based training program.
