Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop Engineering projects, ensuring all equipment projects are completed to a high-quality standard in the field of water and wastewater treatment.
- Liaises with sales reps in field and customers for equipment project development from discovery phase.
- Project execution based on customer requirement, contract negotiations, understanding of commercial and logistical terms for handling project from ordering till delivery and commissioning to customer specification as well as internal standards/specifications.
- Monitor equipment’s testing and assembly at supplier / fabricator facility or at customer site.
- Prepare data sheets, specifications, RFQs, drawings, installation sketches, O&M manuals.
- Coordinates project related activities through Equipment Project Support, Service Technicians and 3rd party DBI partners (Design, Build & Install)
- Generation of proper scoping, proposal or project documentation (Scope of Works, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Technical Sheets and Maintenance Protocol). Compiling of sub-contractor documentation in line with contractual agreed project document index.
- Participation in trials and start-ups of new equipment technologies on site
- Provides and coordinates general training and assistance to Sales Staff and customers.
- Ensures compliance with all Nalco Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
- Submits project status reports on a weekly/monthly basis in the companies reporting system.
Qualifications:
- Requires a college or bachelor's degree in Mechatronics engineering discipline more than five years field experince.
- Requires the ability to communicate and deal effectively with customers, Nalco sales and engineering contractors, construction, maintenance and operations staff.
- Current knowledge of federal, state, local regulations and engineering standards applicable to assignments required
- Evidence of good Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument & Automation Engineering knowledge
- AutoCAD & Visio knowledge is added advantage.
- Expect extensive travel (50%) time in field (includes extensive travel).
- Native local language and fluent in English language and French.
