The Admissions Counselor II position represents SPHIS to prospective students and organizations and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students to meet enrollment management goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the SPHIS recruiter to attract prospective students through events, referrals, online and print communication, and outreach to schools, businesses, and organizations.
Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at SPHIS.
Utilize phone, email, and mail to communicate with prospective students and applicants in a timely manner, providing superior student service and fostering relationships.
Manage centralized application services (SOPHAS) and (HAMPCAS) along with the university application portal.
Utilize the University CRM (customer relationship management) software, SLATE for functions associated with graduate admissions.
Review prospective student applications for admission and maintain accurate and up to date application records.
Follow-up with different modes of communication to students to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information.
Coordinate the admissions process with SPHIS departments and provide a weekly admissions report.
Work collaboratively with graduate admissions in processing admissions approvals and concentration designations.
Maintain a strong understanding of current SPHIS degree programs, policies, and procedures including tuition, financial aid, housing, campus resources, educational qualifications, and international student admissions requirements.
Maintain a list of prospective students and share weekly report with SPHIS recruiter.
Manage a virtual meeting calendar for prospective students to schedule online meetings to discuss admissions requirements.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and the ability to present SPHIS in a positive way.
Ability to represent the admissions profession positively through a strong, student-centered ethic.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$32.17Target Compensation Minimum:
$21.45Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
