
Construction Project Engineer (Mechanical/ Electrical) - Industrial
Job Description
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, equipment data sheets, and method statements.
- Provide technical support for mechanical or electrical systems depending on specialization.
- Coordinate design and installation issues with CSA, MEP, vendors, and consultants.
- Prepare and track RFIs, ensuring timely response and issue closure.
- Ensure all installations follow approved drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Track contractor progress, manpower, and resource allocation.
- Assist QA/QC team with inspections and testing procedures.
- Validate materials and equipment delivered to site.
- Support equipment testing & commissioning activities.
- Document test results and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Maintain logs for materials, inspection requests, and testing records.
- Provide input for contractor progress claims and verification of quantities.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of experience in industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of installation standards, codes, and construction sequencing.
- Familiarity with Vietnamese codes and basic international standards (IEC/NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA depending on discipline).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work full-time onsite.
