We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated (Senior) Scientist to join our Biomarker Development team. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Life Sciences, Biology, or a related field, and has advanced expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC) methods and assay development. This role focuses on the operational and scientific oversight of biomarker activities in clinical trials, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for biomarker-related aspects of study design, execution, and reporting.

Your mission

  • Act as biomarker SME for assigned clinical studies, providing scientific and operational guidance throughout study planning and execution.
  • Oversee and review biomarker-related clinical documents, including protocols, study reports, laboratory manuals, and sample management plans.
  • Support IHC assay development, optimization, and clinical implementation in collaboration with internal teams and external laboratory partners.
  • Review and interpret IHC results, ensuring consistency with study endpoints and biomarker strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure biomarker-related deliverables are on time and compliant with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Contribute to vendor oversight, ensuring assay performance and data quality meet program requirements.

Your profile

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • PhD in Life Sciences, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong expertise in IHC methodology and assay development.
  • Experience in biomarker development within clinical trials (Phase I–III), ideally in oncology.
  • Proven ability to review and comment on clinically relevant documents such as study protocols, reports, and laboratory manuals.
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial conduct, biomarker data flow, and regulated documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with CRO and vendor management in biomarker studies.
  • Working knowledge of digital pathology or image analysis tools is an advantage.
