The opportunity
We are looking for a Sales Engineer / Sales Manager to join our team in Vaasa, Tampere, or Helsinki, Finland. In this role, you will play an important part in driving the adoption of digital Grid Automation solutions across the Finnish market.
This position offers flexibility based on your background. You may be an experienced professional ready to take ownership of sales activities (Sales Manager), or a recent graduate eager to grow, learn, and challenge yourself in a dynamic environment (Sales Engineer). We will support your development with the right training and guidance to succeed in the role.
The scope of the role will be tailored according to your background, experience, and development potential. For candidates at the beginning of their career, the role may initially focus more on tendering, proposal preparation, and sales support activities, while experienced candidates may take broader responsibility for customer engagement and business development from the start.
How you´ll make an impact
- Grid Automation portfolio sales and marketing activities for selected customers in Finland.
- Responsibility for promoting and selling the Grid Automation Systems portfolio.
- Identify and develop new customer and partner opportunities.
- Take an active role in sales activities by supporting and working closely with tendering teams, including the preparation and coordination of technical and commercial proposals.
- Work with local units and the Front-End Sales (FES) organization to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Represent the company at fairs, seminars, and customer events.
- Monitor sales performance and ensure KPIs are met within your area of responsibility.
- Continuously develop your technical, commercial, and product knowledge.
Your background
- Degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong interest in sales, with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to build networks and develop long-term customer relationships
- Experience or knowledge in Grid Automation areas such as Protection & Control, Substation Automation, SCADA, BESS, Energy Portfolio Management, Asset & Work Management, or Communications
- Knowledge of the Finnish energy market and key stakeholders is an advantage
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
- Experience in sales, tendering, project delivery, or service business related to Grid Automation systems, software solutions, or lifecycle services is considered a plus.
