Outside Sales Representative
Department: Parts
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Racine
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 / year
Description
Through relationship building and prospecting, profitably increase sales of parts, service and body shop products to assigned customers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales objectives to assigned accounts
- Establish and develop relationships through personal interaction with customers
- Identify target accounts and action plans to increase sales
- Complete and update Account Profiles on assigned accounts
- Contact new credit account customers within 15 days
- Timely resolution of customer complaints
- Address pricing, product, or customer service issues with customers
- Attend and participate in monthly Sales meetings to review performance, opportunities, challenges, programs, etc.
- Sales Representative Training – sales skills, product knowledge, computer systems Plus, International mandatory and volunteer training
- Coordinate and promote “Customer Training Nights”, and vendor “ride-alongs”
- Develop, manage, and track customer incentive programs
- Promote, install, and administer Repair Link systems with customers
- Collect market feedback to monitor and address competitiveness
- Request special pricing assistance (SPA’s) from International when needed.
- Manage parts customer contact database (CRM)
- Develop key vendor relationships. Maximize utilization of supplier programs and resources
- Special projects as assigned by General Manager, Director, Parts and/or President
- Maintain accurate customer records of all consignments
- Handle all elements of customer service to the assigned customer base
- Develop appropriate relationships with International personnel
- Proactively monitor, suggest inventory additions and/or modifications to support assigned accounts
Qualifications
- A high school diploma minimum
- A minimum of (3) years medium and heavy-duty truck parts/service experience
- A college graduate or equivalent experience in Medium/Heavy Duty truck industry is preferred
- Demonstrated ability in convincing others to gain support and influence
- The ability to alter standard procedures and adjust accordingly despite changing circumstances
- Candidate is highly motivated and willing to take initiative to achieve results beyond what is required.
- Able to work collaboratively with others as part of a team and generate positive long-term results
- Ability to be attentive and listen to others, allow others to speak, and are considerate of other opinions
- The ability to operate under high pressure situations and maintain self-composure in the face of challenging circumstances
