Director Corporate Tax (m/f/d)

We are seeking a motivated professional to join our Corporate Tax Team in Hamburg. In this key leadership role, as Director Corporate Tax (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the management and strategic development of the Corporate Tax team, as well as for the strategic direction of all national and international tax related matters of HELM.

Your tasks: 

• In this position, you are the first point of contact for all tax matters of HELM as well as further subsidiaries with regard to national and international tax matters, in particular income taxes, transfer prices and VAT (value added taxes).
• In doing so, you will lead the Corporate Tax Team (4 employees), their strategic development and ensure close collaboration with our external tax advisors.
• Furthermore, you are responsible for the monitoring and preparing of transfer pricing documentation for our domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
• Moreover, as part of our day-to-day business, you will coordinate the preparation of all tax returns, tax balance sheets and review incoming tax assessments.
• You will also take over tax-relevant projects such as M&A activities, the implementation of BEPS 2.0 or the further development of the TAX CMS within project management.
• In this context, you will also ensure the continuous optimization of tax processes and systems within the company as well as the implementation and monitoring of new regulatory requirements.

Your profile:

• You have a degree in economics with a focus on tax or a comparable qualification and possess profound professional experience in a corporation or an auditing firm, ideally in combination with a tax advisor exam.
• In your previous professional career of at least 5 years, you were able to aquire comprehensive knowledge of national and international tax law regulations as well as transfer pricing documentation.
• You are characterized by a quick comprehension of tasks, a self-dependent and structured way of working and a high degree of teamwork and communication skills.
• In addition, you enjoy shaping corporate processes and procedures in a changing organizational environment with a hands-on mentality.
• Fluent german- as well as english language skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
