Meet the team: 

In this role you will be part of the Advanced Research and Technology team that focuses on evaluating and establishing the feasibility of next generation technologies and products for Dexcom. This role will focus on the synthesis and evaluation of new sensor platforms as a key technical contributor among a cross-functional team of innovators. You will work in a close-knit, dynamic, and fast-paced research environment aimed at transitioning concepts to robust technology demonstrators. 

 

Where you come in: 

  • Under the supervision of senior- and staff-level scientists, you will partake in the development of next generation biosensor technology, including synthesis, prototyping, testing, data analysis and interpretation 

  • You will build and characterize sensors and execute experiments in a wet-chemistry lab 

  • You will contribute to the design of new experimental setups and partake in test method development for next generation sensor technology 

  • You will analyze data from bench, pre-clinical and clinical tests 

  • You will make extensive use of statistical and/or software tools for sample size justification and interpreting the significance of experimental results (e.g. JMP, MATLAB, or Python) 

  • You will have the opportunity to produce analysis tools or adapt existing tools to automate data analysis 

  • You will prepare lab reports and maintain documentation 

  • You will prepare and follow up on engineering build requests 

 

What makes you successful: 

  • You possess experience working in a wet lab environment 

  • You have exposure to basic concepts in statistical analysis (t-tests, ANOVA etc.) and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Matlab, or Python) 

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Preferably, you have experience with electrochemistry, electrochemical (bio)sensors, wearables sensors and related manufacturing and testing processes

Education and Experience:  

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2–5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 0–2 years of equivalent industry experience.
