Geosolutions Geophysicist

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Geophysicist to join our Seismic Data Processing team in Rio de Janeiro. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are passionate about geophysics, seismic imaging, and subsurface characterization. The successful candidate will receive specialized training and work alongside experienced geophysicists and geoscientists to process seismic data, build and refine velocity models, and generate high-quality seismic images that support exploration and development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Process 3D and 4D seismic data using latest processing workflows.
• Assist in seismic imaging activities, including migration and image quality enhancement.
• Support velocity model building for accurate subsurface characterization.
• Perform quality control (QC) of seismic data and processing results.
• Analyze processing outputs and identify opportunities for workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, geologists, and reservoir specialists to achieve project objectives.
• Document processing parameters, methodologies, and technical findings.
• Participate in the development and testing of new processing and imaging techniques.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and best practices for data management and processing.
• Contribute to technical discussions, project reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, PhD degree in Geophysics, or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
• Good understanding of seismic methods and subsurface imaging principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Advanced English level (reads, speaks, comprehends, and writes well).

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic projects or internships related to seismic data processing.
• Familiarity with seismic processing software.
• Basic programming or scripting skills (Python, Shell, or similar) are an advantage.
