What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and overall condition of the hotel. The role is best suited for someone who takes ownership of their work, stays organized, and can manage daily maintenance needs without constant direction. This person will oversee all aspects of the hotel maintenance department including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems and preventive maintenance program.
The ideal candidate is proactive, solution-focused, and able to prioritize tasks while keeping the building operating safely and efficiently.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be responsible for maintaining the hotels physical condition and ensuring all systems and areas are running as they should. These duties will include:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general repairs)
- Responds to maintenance requests received from Front Desk or Housekeeping.
- Monitoring the buildings systems and addressing issues promptly.
- Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
- Maintaining an organized workspace and maintenance office.
- Tracking work orders
- Coordinating with Vendors when needed
- Pool chemical testing
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2 years of facilities experience
- Experience in a management position
- Takes pride in keeping the property in good condition
