Job Description
As an extension of the CEO’s office, the Strategy Support department is responsible for helping Publix leadership turn strategic priorities into well-executed outcomes that improve performance and enable long-term growth. The team brings clarity to priorities, aligns leaders and teams, and drives disciplined execution—delivering speed and impact on the initiatives that matter most.
As a Strategy Project Manager, you lead the execution of business-critical, cross-functional projects—bringing structure, momentum, and accountability to complex work. You partner with leaders across various business areas to lead multiple cross-functional projects, translating goals into clear scopes, disciplined plans, and coordinated execution.
In Publix's corporate offices, we value in-person interactions, similar to those our store associates have with customers. Many of Publix's corporate offices offer work from home up to one day a week. Each business area implements their policy differently and should be discussed during interviews.

What you’ll do
- lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle
- establish trust-based relationships and respectfully challenge assumptions
- apply structured problem-solving and project management methods
- maintain clear plans, timelines, and reporting for transparency
- manage scope, risks, and dependencies to ensure delivery
- communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders
- prepare scopes, decision documents, and executive-ready materials
- support change management and communication to enable adoption
