Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. 

OEM Sales Application Engineer I

The Sales Application Engineer is a key team member on our OEM sales team.  The SAE supports the selling process by providing technical expertise on Woodward products and solutions. The SAE assesses client needs, recommends appropriate products, and helps design custom solutions to meet specific customer requirements.  They also collaborate with internal engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project delivery, prepare technical documentation and proposals, and address customer inquiries or troubleshooting requests.  They may conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and stay updated on industry trends to offer informed guidance.  The ideal candidate will have industrial power generation experience. 

Estimated annual base pay: $65,000(minimum) - $84,000 (midpoint) - $104,000(maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain product features and benefits to potential customers.
  • Resolve Technical Issues: Identifies and addresses standard technical problems using established procedures to minimize customer dissatisfaction and disruption. Serve as the primary technical resource for customers, providing expert consultation and developing solutions that address specific operational challenges.
  • Support sales teams with technical presentations, proposal development, and competitive analysis to maximize revenue and customer wallet.
  • Document Procedures and Solutions: Keeps accurate records of application configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Provide User Support: Assists customers by responding to queries and offering technical guidance for existing products and applications.
