Job Title: Deputy Director
Reports to: Project Director
Position Classification: Exempt
Wage Range: $82,000 - $90,000 annually
Primary Objectives of Position: Oversees day-to-day operations of workforce centers ensuring
consistent service quality, compliance, and performance across all access points.
This position is remote, with occasional in-office requirements based on business needs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides day-to-day operational oversight of workforce center service delivery Serves as second-in-command to the Project Director, supporting overall operational execution
- Oversees workforce stability, including staffing levels, coverage, and retention strategies
- Leads staff training, onboarding support, and cross-training initiatives to maintain service continuity
- Ensures frontline capacity is aligned with customer flow, program demand, and performance expectations
- Monitors operational performance and identifies staffing or workflow adjustments as needed
- Supports supervisors and lead staff through coaching, problem-solving, and technical assistance
- Coordinates with Quality, Data, and Logistics roles to sustain compliance, service quality, and system readiness

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Credentials: Certified Workforce Development Professional credential preferred
Experience: Progressive responsibilities in management and workforce development program
operations. Strong business knowledge of fiscal operations and performance measurement. Must have
prior experience as a senior staff member in Workforce Development. Experience in training/
coaching and mentoring required.
Skills/Abilities: Requires top level project management, organizational, personnel, problem solving and
data analysis skills, along with an ability to meet deadlines as required by our employees
and customers. High level of communications skills and the ability to work alone. Need strong
technical skills and commitment to a continually improving environment.
Technology Requirement: Position requires strong technology proficiency, including use of workforce
information systems, Microsoft 365 applications, electronic case management, virtual service delivery
tools, and evolving AI-enabled platforms in a paperless environment. Successful completion of a basic
IT skills assessment is required.
