Job Description
Job Summary
The Condition Coordinator is responsible for assisting the JR Underwriting Team with daily duties including outbound and inbound phone calls to follow up on Homeowner’s Insurance (HOI), Title, Utility Bills, and scheduling closings. Also assists in following up with borrowers on missing documents for final approval. Ensures all information in the file is accurate and up to date.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with JR Underwriter to follow up on items needed for final approval from the borrower on VA IRRRL and FHA Streamline files.
Follows up as needed on missing services ordered on the loan file (HOI and title).
Uploads documents to VA IRRRL and FHA Streamline files to as received. Alerts JR Underwriter of uploaded documents.
Assists with any other tasks assigned by the JR Underwriter to assist in closing the loan file.
Orders Secure Insight reports and verifies title company’s wiring instructions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
Minimum of one (1) year experience in the mortgage industry required
Functional/Technical Skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with team and work well with others
Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination program and underwriting guidelines
Demonstrates a commitment to quality customer service
Strong attention to detail
Well organized with the ability to multi-task
Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Strong mathematical skills
Strong PC skills (MS Office products) and experience with mortgage origination systems. Encompass experience preferred.
