Job Description Summary

The Lead Analyst, Business Systems plays a key role in driving improvements to business systems and applications that support operational goals. This position is responsible for ensuring systems align with business needs through effective planning and execution, enabling informed decision-making and efficient operations. The analyst also supports team development by mentoring junior members and contributes to the continuous enhancement of systems and processes.

Reporting to: VP, Inventory Management

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and design of business systems to support operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Define system requirements based on business needs and translate them into actionable outcomes.

  • Recommend and prioritize system enhancements to improve performance and user experience.

  • Configure system settings and execute testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance).

  • Maintain clear documentation of system capabilities, processes, and changes.

  • Support implementation activities including system configuration, testing, and training.

  • Monitor data quality and integrity, and help establish processes to ensure ongoing accuracy.

  • Serve as a point of contact for system-related inquiries and user support.

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts and contribute to team development.

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • At least 5 years of data, business and/or systems analyst experience to include translating between business and technical requirements.

  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational databases.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Access).

  • Experience supporting end-users and resolving complex issues.

  • Strong experience with SAP data structures and data extraction/automation techniques.

  • Proven experience in converting or migrating Microsoft Access-based solutions into SQL environments.

  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in data transformation, automation, and performance optimization.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$102,300.00 - $153,500.00 Annual
