
NIGHT SHIFT FACILITIES SUPERVISOR
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Night Shift Facilities Supervisor oversees the inspection, maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of district buildings, grounds, and related systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facilities operations. This position supervises nightly activities involving building maintenance, grounds nightly upkeep, material installation and removal, demolition work, and the inspection of vacant facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems; coordinating maintenance operations; and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with district standards, safety requirements, and APS policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in business administration, engineering, or other technical trades preferred
*Additional years of equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
Certifications/Licenses:
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
• Must comply with Transportation Regulation EDC-R
Experience:
• 5 years of verifiable work experience in a managerial or supervisory position
• Experience in K�12 education or public sector preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates and monitors nightly work schedules with contractors and school administrators ensuring assignments are accurate and complete
• Continually inspects APS occupied and vacant buildings, grounds, and common areas to identify needed preventative maintenance, to ensure a clean and proper maintained area is within local and state regulatory compliance
• Supervises and oversees various nightly projects assigned by the Director of Certified Trades or assigned to Directors and Managers within the Maintenance and Operations
• Assists with the procurement of parts and supplies that may include budgetary cost, inventory, and ordering
• Required to have prompt, regular attendance in person and be available to work on-site during regular business hours and as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator or their representative

• Knowledge of maintenance operations and repair procedures
• Ability to prioritize work orders and assign resources effectively
• Knowledge of inventory control and procurement practices
• Ability to inspect work for safety and quality compliance
• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Ability to schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance
• Ability to assist with budget monitoring and cost control
• Ability to negotiate with vendors and contractors
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
