Position: Secondary Social Studies Teacher / Head Baseball Coach � Northside ISD
Northside ISD is a small rural 1A district located just 5 miles north of Vernon on the Oklahoma border, serving approximately 235 students. The district offers a four-day school week (Monday�Thursday), competitive pay, and is currently in its TIA application year, with plans to provide teacher designations beginning in the 2027�2028 school year.
Northside ISD is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to serve as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher and Head Baseball Coach. The ideal candidate will provide engaging, student-centered instruction in social studies while building a competitive and character-driven baseball program.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in secondary social studies courses
- Foster a positive classroom environment that supports student growth and achievement
- Lead and manage all aspects of the baseball program, including planning, practices, and game strategy
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic accountability among student-athletes
- Collaborate with staff, administration, and community stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain) in Social Studies
- Coaching experience preferred, with strong leadership and organizational skills
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required or ability to obtain
- Commitment to student success both academically and athletically
