Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I performs entry-to-intermediate level maintenance work with a primary focus on preventive maintenance (PM) and basic troubleshooting of production equipment and facility systems. This role supports operational uptime by executing scheduled maintenance tasks, responding to routine repair needs, and assisting with general facility upkeep.
The position operates with moderate supervision and is expected to develop technical proficiency across multiple maintenance disciplines, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks on industrial sewing equipment and facility systems
- Complete routine work orders accurately and within established timelines
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues; escalate complex issues as needed
- Support maintenance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general repairs
- Read and follow basic electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
- Safely work with electrical systems, including basic measurement of three-phase power (as trained)
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in CMMS or tracking systems
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of preventive maintenance or related technical experience
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
- Experience with industrial equipment, automated systems, or distribution environments
- Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, or HVAC systems

Pay Range:
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
