Why Sisters, Oregon?
Located next to the three Sisters mountains, Sisters is a vibrant, growing small community focused on healthy living, strong families, caring for one another, adventuring in the outdoors and embracing the arts through our many weekend festivals.
A deeply supportive community that believes in the mission of Young Life.
Excellent schools and a culture that values families and faith.
Access to the outdoors — hiking, biking, camping, rock climbing and river rafting all within a quick drive.
We are also a town with many hurting kids, families living in campsites in the woods and a high teen suicide rate. Come help us love these kids and families really well.
A pace of life that fosters depth, rest, and real connection.
Our ideal would be to have weekly Young Life and Wyldlife Clubs so that kids have a safe, loving, consistent place to be.
We’re not just looking for someone to fill a position — we’re praying for a teammate who wants to build something lasting, live life with kids. Someone who is ready to be part of a strong and joyful community. We care deeply about our relationships with families, the schools and the local churches and are looking for someone ready to dig into deep conversations to continue to build unity in our town. We are looking for someone ready to jump in and join a local church or small group here in Sisters.
We have a strong team of leaders, committee and prayer team. Because we are a small town, our leaders are mainly adults with full time jobs. Our ideal Area Director has strong relational skills to continue to recruit, build and train new leaders. We believe strongly in placing prayer and scripture at the center of our ethos, everything moves and builds from there. We want to be a ministry that is building up the churches and work hard at our relationships within the faith community in our town.
Our hope is to find someone with a passion for pouring in and becoming part of the fabric of our town. A mature person who can continue to build and equip our teams so that Sisters Young Life thrives for decades to come.
