BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Accessibility Testing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that digital products meet accessibility standards and are usable by all individuals, including people with disabilities. This role focuses on evaluating products against WCAG 2.2 requirements and supporting compliance across different regions and regulatory frameworks.
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Accessibility Testing Analysts to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our digital products are accessible and inclusive for all users, including those with disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree holder
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (2 years of experience in a technology background). If no accessibility background, at least web testing background in general (web products testing)
- Experience in Test documentation creation- test reports, test plan, accessibility issues
- Accessibility Knowledge (preferred, but not required as full training will be provided): Familiarity with screen readers, keyboard accessibility, and WCAG standards.
- Knowledge in aXe tools- plugins in browser intended for accessibility testing or similar accessibility tools.
- NVDA or JAWS screen reader or similar tool
Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
Soft Skills:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Empathy and User Experience: Strong empathy and understanding of what constitutes a positive user experience, particularly for individuals affected by accessibility barriers.
- Detailed Oriented/ Attention to Detail
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accessibility Testing: Utilize assistive technologies, screen readers, and other tools to thoroughly test products against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards.
- Barrier Identification: Meticulously evaluate digital products to identify potential barriers that may prevent individuals with disabilities from effectively using and accessing the content.
- Documentation: Accurately record and document any identified problems, defects, or accessibility issues, and providing detailed findings to the Accessibility Lead.
- Reporting and Presentation: Prepare comprehensive accessibility testing reports and effectively present the testing results to stakeholders, including designers, developers, and product owners.
