Locations: St. Paul Terrace (Wheeling, WV) 64 units & Bridgeport Manor (Bridgeport, Ohio) 51 units

St. Paul Terrace and Bridgeport Manor are senior apartment communities dedicated to providing quality housing and exceptional service to our residents.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician who shares our commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors through safe, well-maintained communities.

On-Call Requirement

This position requires availability for on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in apartments and common areas in a timely manner.

• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns.

• Maintain the safety, appearance, and overall condition of the community.

• Complete work orders and resident service requests efficiently and professionally.

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations.

• Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff and assist with training new team members.

• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with company standards.

• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.

• Keep accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and inventory logs.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and building codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance experience required.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.

• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Relevant certifications (HVAC, EPA, OSHA, etc.) are a plus.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
