Work Type: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Locations: St. Paul Terrace (Wheeling, WV) 64 units & Bridgeport Manor (Bridgeport, Ohio) 51 units
St. Paul Terrace and Bridgeport Manor are senior apartment communities dedicated to providing quality housing and exceptional service to our residents.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician who shares our commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors through safe, well-maintained communities.
On-Call Requirement
This position requires availability for on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in apartments and common areas in a timely manner.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns.
Maintain the safety, appearance, and overall condition of the community.
Complete work orders and resident service requests efficiently and professionally.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations.
Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff and assist with training new team members.
Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with company standards.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Keep accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and inventory logs.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and building codes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance experience required.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Relevant certifications (HVAC, EPA, OSHA, etc.) are a plus.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
