
Tax Manager
Job Description
Property tax administration over a specific geographic area or group of company assets
What You Will Do
• Collect and process data necessary for completing and filing personal property renditions
• Monitor and evaluate both real and personal property assessments
• Manage select team players
• Self Starter with complex properties
• Prepare and file property tax appeals and attend hearings
• Correspond and negotiate with local assessment officials to ensure reasonable assessments
• Review and process payment requests for property tax bills
• Assist in annual property tax forecasts and annual budget
• Research property tax laws and legal decisions
• Special projects as assigned
What You Need
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in property tax
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
• Strong Communication, Analytical and Critical Thinking skills, both written and oral
• Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines; detail oriented
• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Excel and Word; skills in PTMS and database understanding a plus
• Overnight travel to some degree
