What is a Compliance Specialist?

The Compliance Specialist supports the Compliance Department in maintaining and strengthening CSD’s internal compliance program. This role is responsible for conducting audits, reviewing documentation for compliance, supporting policy and procedure development, preparing for external audits, and partnering with teams across the organization to ensure regulatory, funding source, and organizational requirements are met. The Compliance Specialist serves as a resource for compliance-related initiatives and helps promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.

What your role is:

  • Run and analyze compliance-related reports from CentralReach (CR) and other systems.

  • Review clinical session notes, documentation, and signatures to ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and funding source requirements.

  • Coordinate compliance-related meetings and training initiatives between the Training Department and Senior Director of Compliance.

  • Conduct monthly compliance audits and provide findings, recommendations, and updates through regional dashboards and reporting tools.

  • Partner with Regional Directors and clinical teams to address audit findings and complete corrective action items.

  • Assist with compliance training initiatives, updates, and implementation across all regions.

  • Support preparation for funding source audits and conduct internal mock audits to identify areas of risk and improvement.

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and revision of company policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.

  • Communicate policy updates and compliance requirements through team meetings, trainings, and organization-wide communications.

  • Support external payor audits, including at-risk reporting and documentation requests.

  • Maintain accurate audit records, compliance tracking systems, and supporting documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform additional administrative and compliance-related duties as assigned.

What's required from you?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of one year of professional experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ABA services, developmental disabilities, healthcare, education, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with early intervention, ABA services, and related community resources preferred.

  • Experience with CentralReach preferred.

  • Experience with compliance auditing, quality assurance, training coordination, or policy development preferred.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, or content development strongly preferred.
