Shift Supervisor 

Coordinate offshore cable installation and shift operations  
Join NKT’s Marine Operations Department as a Shift Supervisor for the NKT Fleet and contribute to offshore cable installation projects that support the green transition. In this role, you will coordinate shift-based operations onboard cable-lay vessels, ensuring safe and efficient execution aligned with project requirements. You will work closely with offshore and onshore teams in a global environment. Are you ready to take responsibility for offshore operations during critical shift activities? 

Oversee offshore cable lay operations during assigned shifts  
As a Shift Supervisor, you are responsible for coordinating offshore cable installation activities during your assigned shift. You ensure tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in line with project procedures and technical specifications. You supervise deck crew, monitor equipment usage, and maintain communication with the Offshore Construction Manager and Field Engineers, ensuring accurate reporting and operational continuity.


Your responsibility will be to:  
•  Coordinate cable lay, burial, and deck operations during shifts  
•  Supervise deck crew, technicians, and subcontractors  
•  Monitor use of cable lay equipment and track progress  
•  Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and safety procedures  
•  Maintain shift logs, reports, and operational documentation 

This role is offshore based on rotation periods at sea. You report to the Offshore Construction Manager and collaborate closely with vessel crew and multidisciplinary teams onboard and onshore. Experienced offshore professional with structured working approach  

You are a consistent, accurate, and organized person who works well and supports safe operations. You communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders and collaborate effectively within diverse offshore teams. You take initiative, remain attentive to detail, and contribute to a structured and safe working environment where responsibilities are clearly understood. 


You also have:  
•  Preferably a Technical diploma or degree in Engineering or equivalent vocational training  
•  Minimum 5 years of offshore experience in cable installation or marine construction  
•  Experience supervising deck crews and shift-based operations  
•  Knowledge of offshore cable installation, ROV, trenching, and vessel operations  
•  Experience with risk assessment, permit to work, and safety systems
