Overview
The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internal engagement initiatives that strengthen company culture, improve employee morale, and build a strong sense of community across the organization. This role focuses on creating meaningful employee experiences through activations, internal events, recognition initiatives, wellness activities, seasonal celebrations, communication campaigns, and engagement strategies aligned with company values and business goals.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, proactive, and people-oriented, with strong event coordination and communication skills. They should be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high employee participation and engagement levels.
Responsibilities
- Internal Events & Activations
- Plan and execute internal engagement activities designed to improve employee morale, participation, and sense of belonging.
- Develop creative initiatives that reinforce company culture and strengthen employee connection to the organization.
- Coordinate activities that promote teamwork, recognition, wellness, and employee appreciation.
- Support the development of community-building initiatives across departments and shifts.
- Employee Listening & Engagement Strategy
- Support employee listening initiatives through surveys, feedback collection, participation tracking, and engagement reporting.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement related to employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Assist in implementing action plans based on employee feedback and engagement results.
- Help maintain ongoing communication with employees regarding upcoming initiatives and activities.
- Vendor Management & Purchasing Support
- Request and compare quotations from vendors
- Support purchase requests and follow-up with suppliers
- Coordinate delivery timelines and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain organized records of purchases and vendor information
- Administrative & Coordination Support
- Track engagement calendars, budgets, vendor information, participation metrics, and event documentation.
- Coordinate purchasing and procurement requests related to engagement initiatives and events.
- Maintain organized records for activities, feedback, attendance, and expenses.
- Support leadership with engagement reports and activity recaps.
- Support Marketing and People Experience initiatives as needed
- Assist with internal communications and employee campaigns
- Coordinate materials and logistics for workshops, trainings, and internal meetings
- Provide administrative and operational support for department initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in employee engagement, event coordination, marketing, internal communications, HR culture initiatives, or related areas.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging employee experiences.
- Experience coordinating events and managing vendors is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and presentation tools preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
