Summary
Prepare material from Sheet Metal to meet customer specification and NSF requirements from different customer.
Essential Functions
· Smooth out Sheet Metal imperfections form prior processes following indications from blueprints.
· Able to understand specific task and process to perform this key secondary process due to Finish product is a cosmetic and NSF requirements.
· Required a lot of hand work skills and use a diverse hand tooling to perform the job.
· Complete on time the assigned job and maintains accurate count of processed parts.
· Daily housekeeping in assigned work areas
· Completes written log on work done, hours spent, and number of parts produced
· Ensures that the parts they process are to specification and meet all known quality requirements before and after they complete their process steps
· Report any safety, quality, and waste issues to their immediate supervisor
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Able to follow verbal and written instructions
· Able to read and follow instruction from Blueprint to ensure all the parts come out meet the specification.
· Excellent hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude.
· Able to do basic shop math, read blueprints and use measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, and dial calipers, etc.
· Some lifting is required.
· Self-motivated to perform task to meet assigned work.
Education and Experience
High School or GED level education is preferred.
· Able to read and understand blueprints.
· Equivalent experience as handyman can be substituted for educational minimums.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing for up to 8 hours, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
