Serve as NYCKR’s lead on all aspects of Performance Measurement and Research for NYCKR’s outreach programs; serve as an internal expert on place-based efforts to advance economic opportunity and neighborhood-level change and their impact; lead NYCKR’s strategy and its work planning to support the organization’s data-driven decision-making; identify measurable and specific goals for projects that build upon the short-, medium-, and long-term goals defined in NYC kids RISE’s Theory of Change; evaluate adherence to and efficacy of the Theory of Change and ensure learning from performance measurement to inform revisions; provide briefings and reports to NYC Kids RISE staff, leadership, Board of Directors, and external partners, and funders, on a regular basis and/or as requested, on Program data, analysis, and performance measurement and evaluation findings, and support these stakeholders to understand and operationalize these analyses and findings; act as key liaison to other teams when new projects that require data-driven strategies are introduced; coordinate with the Executive Team to develop and execute NYCKR’s Research Agenda, providing advice on how best to operationalize it, including the appropriate combination of short-, medium-, and long-term implementation studies, impact evaluations, and other approaches—building upon existing research & evaluation resources and strategies developed to date; and support the Executive Team in launching and managing an advisory body of researchers and other subject matter experts to inform the Save for College Program’s development, implementation, evaluation, and long-term research agenda.
Job Requirements:
Must have a Master’s Degree in public policy, urban policy, or related, three years of experience in an urban planning role for a government agency or nonprofit community outreach organization, and two years of experience using R and R-studio and ArcGIS PRO and QGis and engaging in data driven decision making for urban development projects.
