Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking a Machine Operator Fabricator to join our brand new, state of the art Baltimore manufacturing team. This position focuses on fabricating and welding hazardous waste transportation containers in a controlled, safety-first environment. You’ll work primarily with mild carbon steel using brand new machine tools. Sign on bonus $7,500.
Pay: $20-$30

- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Operate Press Brake, Roller, Hydraulic plate shear, Bandsaw (training provided on each specific machine)
- Operate Overhead Crane or other Hoists
- Ability to teach skills to others
- Safely operate a forklift for material handling
- Wear appropriate safety equipment based on a complete analysis of the job site and tasks being performed, including a respirator if required
- Layout, cut and fit, utilizing measuring tapes, bandsaws, grinders, hoists and assembly fixtures to fabricate assemblies precisely
- Set up welding equipment for weld procedures
- Maintain compliance with Clean Harbors safety protocols
- Keep work area clean and organized; report equipment issues promptly
- Perform periodic mild maintenance tasks such as emptying / unloading chip bins, greasing fittings, cleaning and routine equipment inspections (training provided).
- Forklift Certification (preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED, associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1+ year machine tool experience; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
