Who We Are Looking For
Crisis24 is a global leader in integrated risk management, delivering crisis response, security, and product risk consulting services to multinational organisations and insurers. The Product Risk Response (PRR) team supports clients before, during, and after product safety incidents, including food contamination events and product recalls.
We are seeking an Associate Consultant (Product Risk Specialist) to join our UK-based PRR team. This junior/mid-level role is suited to a professional with experience in food safety, quality, or compliance who is ready to take on increased responsibility in live response situations while continuing to develop their consulting and crisis response skills.
The role supports the delivery of product risk and recall response services. The consultant will actively support live food safety incidents while independently managing assigned response-support and documentation tasks, with guidance from senior consultants as required.
Case management and administrative support are required, and the successful applicant must be organised, confident, and willing to develop new skills.
What You Will Work On
Product Risk & Recall Response
Support product recall response case activations, including contamination events and regulatory-driven recalls
Advice on response activities
Support client communications, data collection, and response tracking during live incidents
Liaise with internal teams and approved third-party providers to support the execution of response actions
Participate in on-call and after-hours response support as required (rota-based)
Case Management & Administrative Support
Manage assigned case documentation, timelines, response logs, invoicing, and Salesforce
Write case summaries and post-incident documentation
Track response actions and deadlines across multiple cases
Ensure all documentation complies with PRR standards
Consulting & Technical Support
Support food safety and product risk consulting engagements, including recall preparedness and risk assessments
Conduct regulatory and technical research related to all applicable food safety requirements (e.g. FSA, DEFRA, EU General Food Law, FDA, USDA)
Assist with the development of client-facing materials, templates, and response plans
Apply food safety knowledge to support incident analysis and response decision-making
Continue to build technical expertise through training and supervised client engagement
Team & Operational Support
Work collaboratively with the UK, European, and global PRR teams to support consistent service delivery
Provide operational and administrative support to senior consultants during high-tempo response situations
Contribute to the continuous improvement of response tools, templates, and internal processes
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client and incident information

Accountability
The Food Safety Consultant reports to the Practice Lead for Product Risk Response. Performance will be measured through the quality and timeliness of case support, responsiveness during live incidents, adherence to SOPs, and continued professional development.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Biology, Public Health, Supply Chain, or a similar related field
2–5 years of relevant professional experience in food safety, quality, compliance, or related roles
Exposure to food safety incidents, recalls, audits, or regulatory compliance activities
Strong administrative, documentation, and coordination experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management tools
Preferred
Working knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, DEFRA, EU General Food Law, retained EU law, FDA, USDA)
Experience supporting product recalls or incident/crisis response
HACCP, Level 3 Food Safety, PCQI, or equivalent certifications
Experience working with insurers, consultants, or regulated clients
