Join our team as a 1st shift EHS Manager! Salary range offered is $100,000-$110,000 annually, based on experience The EHS Manager will supervise and coordinate the plant safety and health function in accordance with Corporate and plant directives to prevent accidents and to ensure compliance with OSHA and all related federal, state, and local regulations.  Ensure all safety processes and procedures are followed within areas of responsibility. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.   What You'll Do:   Demonstrate strong safety leadership every day by maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility. Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures and environmental compliance initiatives. Supervise the plant safety function to ensure a safe work environment is maintained and that all practices comply with Company policies as well as OSHA and government-issued regulations. Recommend and implement corrective actions where necessary. Conduct regular safety inspections and environmental testing, documenting findings and ensuring timely corrective actions are completed. Prepare and submit required governmental reports. Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents; analyze root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting. Coordinate and oversee the first aid function and Workers’ Compensation program, including return-to-work and light-duty programs to support the safest and quickest return to work possible. Serve as the primary point of contact for governmental agency communications, inspections, audits, and visits related to safety and environmental compliance. Develop, implement, and monitor safety training programs for all employees, including new hire safety orientation and ongoing compliance training. Maintain and monitor safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) programs to ensure continuous plant operations, employee protection, and cost control. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of written safety policies, procedures, and safety awareness initiatives for plant personnel. Coordinate periodic medical examinations in accordance with Company policies and governmental regulations while maintaining employee safety and health records. Develop and maintain safety communication and awareness programs that promote employee engagement and accountability. Partner regularly with Corporate EHS leadership to support company-wide safety and environmental initiatives. Strong hands-on EHS experience within heavy manufacturing or similar industrial environments. Foundry, metals, automotive manufacturing, or other high-risk industrial experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to drive safety culture improvements and engage employees at all levels of the organization. Strong OSHA and regulatory compliance experience. Experience with incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations. Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
