VCA Elgin Family Pet Center – Elgin, TX
VCA Elgin Family Pet Center is a well-established, AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor small animal practice located in Elgin, Texas.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling animals, committed to providing exceptional patient and client care, and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of pets and their families. You must possess strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally every day.
As a member of the VCA team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Triaging patients and obtaining vital signs
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures, including patient restraint
- Administering treatments and vaccinations as directed
- Performing laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
- Filling and dispensing prescriptions
- Educating clients on preventive care, treatments, and medications
- Providing at-home care instructions according to doctor recommendations
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Delivering compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to clients

Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience is preferred
- Experience with animal handling, laboratory procedures, diagnostics, and treatments is a plus
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
