Job Description
Role Profile: Driver
Overall Role Purpose:
Follow organization’s standard procedures and drive with route courier while pickup and delivery arrangement of shipment.
Main Accountabilities:
o Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work safety procedures
o Movement of vehicles, whilst complying with road traffic regulations and company policies and procedures
o Inform Supervisors and Team Leaders on all vehicle related issues
o Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times
o Ensure vehicle is kept secure at all times
o Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, etc.
o Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of allocated vehicle
People Management:
o This role has no direct reports or personnel authority. Nevertheless h/she can influence others to enable improvement and change within the organization
Requirements for the Job:
• Key Skills & Requirements:
o Valid driving license
o Good driving skills
o Smart appearance
o Defensive driving
o Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
o Knowledge of relevant Road Traffic Regulations
o Ability to use / complete paperwork as required
o Ability to effectively plan own work
• Experience:
o 3/4 years driving experience preferably in office environment
• Educational Qualifications:
o Minimum Class Eight (08) passed
