As Associate Manager you will lead the strategy and execution of tenders and contracts across the Implants & Consumables divisions, playing a key role in shaping commercial success in Italy.

Beyond operational excellence, this role requires a strong leader and influencer, capable of driving alignment, challenging stakeholders, and embedding a strategic approach to tender management.

Leading a team, you will be responsible for elevating the function from execution to business-driven decision support, ensuring that tenders and contracts directly contribute to growth, competitiveness, and profitability.

This is a high-impact position requiring both people leadership and strategic vision in a complex, regulated and matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the tender & contract strategy aligned with commercial priorities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of around 10 specialists, fostering engagement and performance

  • Drive a people-centric leadership approach, coaching individuals based on their strengths

  • Own the full tender lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission and award

  • Embed strategic thinking into tenders (competitive positioning, scenario analysis, win/loss insights)

  • Actively challenge and influence stakeholders to strengthen tender quality and decisions

  • Ensure full compliance with Italian public procurement regulations and EU frameworks

  • Manage tender pipeline, KPIs, and performance to support business planning

  • Oversee contract lifecycle governance, risk management, and audit readiness

  • Drive process improvement, simplification and digitalization initiatives

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Economics, Public Administration or a related field

  • At least 6 years of experience in tenders, Italian public procurement, contracts or commercial operations roles

  • Proven people management experience, with a strong focus on team engagement and development

  • Demonstrated capability to drive strategic thinking beyond execution

  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business decisions

  • Experience working in matrix or cross-functional environments

  • Proven track record in driving change and improving processes

  • Structured communicator with strong impact and leadership presence to be able to influence and challenge stakeholders
