MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician-led, multi-specialty group within MultiCare Health System, delivering integrated hematology, oncology, radiation, surgical and supportive care across Washington state. Each year, we diagnose and treat more than 6,000 new cancer cases across Olympia, Spokane, Tacoma and Yakima.
We bring together advanced pathology, imaging and evidence-based treatment with holistic supportive services to provide personalized, high-quality cancer care. As we continue to grow, we are building the Pacific Northwest’s most comprehensive and high-value oncology network—projected to double in volume over the next five years.

Position Summary
The Director of Clinical Operations supports the Clinical Nurse Executive by providing effective leadership for the development and administration of clinical operations creating a system that optimizes care delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness and continuously improves performance throughout the hospital. The Director assesses, plans, implements and evaluates all aspects of care/services delivered; ensures quality programs, patient safety and a level of customer experience that strives to exceed internal and external customer expectations; develops and mentors a high performing management team for all areas of responsibility; ensures financial viability by managing applicable revenue/ expenses with attention to supply cost utilization and a high level of productivity for areas under direct control to ensure identified service and financial benchmarks are met. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum eight (8) years clinical experience and mastery of professional or technical role/function
- Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in management
- Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $152,443.20 - $219,356.80 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
