Job Description
The Northern New Brunswick Forestry Operations Division is seeking a reliable and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Truck and Transport Technician who demonstrates a positive attitude toward teamwork.

- Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities, including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance on equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc.
- Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Follow all established safety policies and standards, including proper identification, use, and procedures for handling or disposing of hazardous waste.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Required Education: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Diploma
- Years of Experience Required: 2 to 5 years
- A Red Seal is considered an asset but is not required. Candidates with Mechanic Block 1, 2, or 3 will be considered.
- Experience in welding and repairing forestry equipment is considered an asset.
- Must be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be autonomous and detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Being bilingual is considered an asset.
