What you'll do:
As a DataOps Developer Intern your key area of responsibility will be dedicating time to building out enterprise services, applications and tools to support Geotab’s data operation solution. The DataOps Developer Intern will be responsible for contributing to the development of data pipelines using Python and Airflow. You will need to work closely with both the Data Engineering and Data Science teams.
The opportunity:
- 12 month work-term beginning September 2026.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:
- Perform software development and support of Airflow pipelines in Python, using SQL
- Understand the performance impact of the code, API use, and scalability.
- Actively participate in design discussions and document requirements and technical design.
- Perform quality assurance analysis by ensuring coding standards are followed, looking for logic errors, and other bugs.
- Analyze log files and performance data to troubleshoot and identify root cause of bugs.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Completing a Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Good experience with Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and writing queries
- Experience in Google BigQuery is nice to have.
- Experience with Apache Airflow is nice to have.
- Experience with database design and writing queries is nice to have.
- Excellent knowledge of Advanced SQL working with large data sets.
- Highly organized, willingness to learn, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
How we work:
This role offers an hourly pay range which is anticipated to be the range listed below. The actual pay for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to student's academic program, relevant experience, and location.
