Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will provide foundational HR support by consulting, advising, and coaching corporate leaders on people and organizational needs. This role ensures alignment with company-wide HR initiatives while supporting day-to-day HR functions within the assigned business unit. The HRBP will work closely with leaders to facilitate employee relations, performance management, and compliance while serving as a key liaison between operations and corporate HR teams.
Essential Functions
General Duties
Act as an HR point of contact for branch operations, ensuring alignment with HR policies and procedures.
Partner with corporate HR teams to implement and standardize HR practices.
Assist in HR training initiatives to enhance employee success and engagement.
Support corporate HR in employment-related matters throughout the employee lifecycle.
Provide HR guidance to business units on workforce planning, employee relations, and talent development.
Collaborate with HRBPs and Employee Relations Specialists on projects and coverage needs.
Employee Relations
Assist in handling employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.
Facilitate the interactive accommodation process under the ADA in partnership with corporate HR.
Conduct exit interviews and provide summary reports on trends and concerns.
Performance Management
Support management in coaching employees, providing feedback, and addressing performance concerns.
Partner with leadership to foster a positive work environment, improving morale and retention.
Assist in identifying internal talent for growth opportunities.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policies.
Provide guidance on wage and hour compliance, employee leave, and anti-harassment training.
Support outreach recruiting and diversity initiatives.
Salary Range: $72,400-$97,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
Basic Requirements
1-2 years of experience in HR, including employee relations, compliance, or generalist roles.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
Preferred Requirements
2-3 years of HR experience in a business partner or generalist capacity.
Experience in the construction or related industries.
