This position develops schedules and implements work activities for the manufacturing and assembly area during the third shift. The supervisor will act as a working supervisor for approximately 50% of their time, actively participating in hands-on production tasks alongside their team. The role includes personnel supervision, work assignments, and coordination of product flow through the production phase. Requires complete familiarity with and understanding of the general aspects and technical phases of the job. Interprets and executes policies and procedures, recommending modifications to operating policies as needed. This is a 3rd shift position from 9 pm to 6:30 am.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises technicians during the third shift through all phases of production in accordance with established schedules.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and mentoring to manufacturing personnel.
- Participates in hiring, promoting, and training subordinate employees. Assigns, directs, and reviews their work.
- Actively engages in production tasks alongside the team, including lamination, assembly, build troubleshooting, and quality inspections.
- Assists with maintaining building and testing equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and quality standards are met. This can also include executing satellite audits of the areas.
- Assists the tooling department with expeditious turnaround of repairs as required.
- Examine defective facility equipment to determine the cause of malfunction and report the need for repairs.
- Interfaces with planning personnel in the generation of process flows and with quality assurance personnel to maintain standards.
- Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operations required.
- Monitors usage and supply of all production materials and tooling, communicate recorders to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Interfaces with production control to prevent material and equipment shortages. Ensures adequate material out time controls, expirations, etc.
- Ensure calibrated equipment and tools throughout the shop are within the appropriate timeframe before calibration is needed.
- Formulates and recommends plans, policies, procedures, and schedules.
- Seeks methods to improve product quality, repeatability, and efficiency.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
- Expected to work and lead the workplace in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Evaluates work standards and performance levels, ensuring uniformity, effectiveness, and appropriate staffing levels.
- Inspects work in progress and finish products.
- Provides mentoring to employees in developmental stages.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
