About Us

Dyson Business Services (DBS) provides process and service excellence to support Dyson’s growth ambitions, continuously innovating and enhancing services to meet the evolving needs of the business. This role will be responsible for supporting the continued development of DBS, helping to embed existing teams within the DBS operating model, and building on the DBS vision. This will include defining and improving ways of working, building and maintaining effective teams, generating internal demand for DBS services, and providing local management for teams based in the Centre.

About The Role and Team

The Order to Cash Lead role offers an excellent opportunity to act as a subject matter expert and lead senior stakeholder management for this critical financial control function. The role involves working with high-volume and high-value data, where accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail are essential.

This role acts as a key source of expertise for both the business and a team of reconciliation specialists. It ensures the accurate and timely application of direct consumer payments, identifies and resolves revenue leakage, and supports strategic business projects globally, leading them where required.

Systems and process expertise is critical to this role. The role requires ownership and understanding of the end-to-end direct sales business-to-consumer process, while providing support to Dyson teams in an area of significant growth.

The role is responsible for the following:

In partnership with GPOs, Revenue Management, IT Leadership and System Architects, Profit Protection, e-commerce retail teams, and Marketplace Product Owners, this role will have direct responsibility for global projects in the following areas:

Process Design, Performance and Governance

  • Engaging with Global Business Process Owners and stakeholders to understand and influence broad business strategies in the context of information technology as a key enabler and differentiator.

  • Providing Direct Sales expertise in various forums, such as the Payment Governance Group, Profit Protection, and Global Payments Product Owner forums covering e-commerce, retail, and marketplaces, while assessing the impact of new proposals on the end-to-end Direct Sales process.

  • Chairing specialist forums, maintaining ownership of issues raised, and updating stakeholders on progress.

  • Driving change and improvements by raising and tracking change requests.

  • Creating and reviewing BRDs and BVTs, and providing Direct Sales sign-off where required.

  • Driving the standardisation of Direct Sales processes across different markets, PSPs, and channels.

  • Liaising with third parties, including PSPs, and staying up to date on the timing and impact of the latest developments.

  • Providing high-level SME expertise for unusual incidents, supporting the operations team, and coaching team members.

  • Interacting and collaborating with global, regional, and local business partners, including Process Owners, Payments Product Owners, Profit Protection, and DBS Operations Managers, to better understand business priorities and represent stakeholder requirements.

  • Partnering with the IT organisation, with a focus on ERP-driven processes, to define strategies that accelerate outcomes for complex problems or opportunities.

  • Building trusted relationships with global stakeholders, including Finance, Customer Service, SOP, Legal, and Treasury.

About You

  • Extensive experience in a direct business-to-consumer retail environment and end-to-end omnichannel processes.

  • Strong understanding of technology and applications used by end-to-end omnichannel retailers, including CRM, web, stores, and SAP S/4.

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis, acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles.

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification would be an advantage.

  • Ability to direct the resolution of complex or unusual business problems while applying advanced analytical thinking and sound judgment.

  • Ability to analyse financial and operating statistics and provide meaningful feedback.

  • Highly motivated and deadline-driven, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills across different levels of leadership.

  • Expertise in working within complex and diverse environments, covering business, technology, regulatory, and partner landscapes.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on translating complex ideas into clear direction and tangible results.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced team environment with high-volume activities and changing priorities.
