THE OPPORTUNITY
The Painter is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior appearance of apartment homes and community spaces through high-quality painting and surface preparation. This role supports the property’s overall curb appeal, resident satisfaction, and asset preservation by delivering timely and professional paint services.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching holes, caulking, and priming.
- Paint interior apartment units including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and cabinets.
- Paint and maintain exterior building surfaces, common areas, breezeways, hallways, and amenities.
- Match paint colors and textures to existing finishes as needed.
- Perform drywall repair, texture application, and minor carpentry touch-ups prior to painting.
- Ensure vacant units are painted and ready for occupancy within required turnaround timelines.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas; properly store and handle paint materials and equipment
- Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
- Support the team with other duties as needed to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Previous experience in painting residential or multi family industry preferred.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to perform drywall repair and surface preparation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to maintaining company standards.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods,
- Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.):
- Over 75 lbs. Rare need
- 25 – 75 lbs. Occasional need
- 1 – 25 lbs. Constant need
