
Transplant Assistant - Kidney Acquisition
Job Description
Assist Transplant Coordinators in all phases of transplant: pre-transplant evaluations - registration activities, phlebotomy, material and chart preparation, scheduling of studies and consults, retrieval of studies, tracking of required updates, organizing information and database assistance. Performs medical assistant functions in the post-transplant clinic - registration activities, vital signs, phlebotomy, follow up appointment testing and procedure tracking/scheduling. Retrieving and recording labs, assisting with patient phone calls and general assistance to transplant coordinators. Transplant Assistants will work closely with the transplant team to make sure charts are prepped for Patient Selection Committee (Recipient, Waitlist and Living Donor) and other Transplant Meetings as necessary.
Minimum RequirementsHigh School Graduate/GED required- or higher.
CNA II required
Will accept CNA I with plans to complete CNAII
MOA can be substituted for CNA II
Minimum of one year work experience in a hospital or office setting required.
Two-Three years work experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
Phlebotomy experience preferred
