Job Description
A Day in Your Life at MKS – Data Steward:
As a Global Data Steward, you will serve as the technical owner of Procurement-related master data within enterprise systems, ensuring high data accuracy, integrity, and governance across the global supply chain organization. In this role, you will provide hands-on data extraction, root-cause analysis, and process expertise, partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable data in alignment with company goals. You will act as a key technical focal point for the Procurement team and report to the Procurement Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Extracting, validating, and analyzing Procurement, Supplier, Item, and MRP-relevant data using SQL and other data tools.
- Maintaining high levels of data accuracy by monitoring supplier and material master data; leading data cleansing, standardization, and governance efforts.
- Mapping and understanding ERP data structures, including tables related to POs, suppliers, items, ASL, sourcing rules, and MRP.
- Troubleshooting data discrepancies and working with IT and Supply Chain teams to resolve data issues at the root cause level.
- Monitoring key data quality metrics and overseeing the Procurement data lifecycle from creation to utilization, ensuring information is accurate, consistent, and aligned with planning/MRP requirements.
- Acting as the technical focal point for Procurement regarding system data structures, data logic, and dependencies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data integrity and support reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining documentation related to data definitions, governance standards, and data flows.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel required

Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong professional English communication skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or similar), ideally within Procurement, Inventory, or MRP modules
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to extract and join complex relational datasets
- Experience with data governance, data quality measurement, and master data management
- Ability to diagnose and resolve data issues through technical analysis
- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional, multicultural teams in a global environment
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, Power Query, pivot tables)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with reporting or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience in global supply chain operations
