Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities: Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service. Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well-trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness. Provide courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, consistent guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints using guest service skills. Resolve difficult or unusual problems that may arise, while maintaining good guest relationships and demonstrating outstanding hospitality through the corrective action taken. Assist Housekeeping leadership team with all of the following departmental functions and concerns: monthly meetings, uniform control, quality assurance in public space and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, and scheduling and payroll cost controls. Prepare and complete all reports needed.  VIP’s, Due-Out’s V/D’s etc. Qualifications: Prior Housekeeping Supervisory/Management experience required. Previous supervisory experience in an upscale, full-service hotel environment is strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.  Able to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone. Able to teach team members how to courteously interact with internal/external guests. Able to set priorities for the Housekeeping team and provide feedback to others that enhance performance. Able to work well under pressure, managing quick turns and high occupancies. Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Able to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Must be at least 18 years of age.
