Job Description

This role supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Administration department, helping ensure workflows are executed timely, pipelines are appropriately managed, and team members have the tools and guidance needed to meet service level expectations. The position also supports valuations, risk and insurance, construction loan administration, and department projects under the direction of CRE Administration leadership.

 

Responsibilities

 

Department Operations & Project Support:

  • Provide daytoday operational support to the CRE Administration team, including pipeline monitoring, backup coverage, and task coordination.
  • Assist with production support to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Develop, maintain, and update department procedures, job aids, and training materials.
  • Support departmental projects by coordinating meetings, tracking deliverables and timelines, and maintaining documentation (business requirements, procedures, test scripts, and training materials).
  • Facilitate or support training related to new processes or system changes.

Valuations Support:

  • Support appraisal and evaluation processes in compliance with regulatory requirements and Bank policy.
  • Review appraisals for accuracy, reasonableness, and compliance; recommend acceptance, revisions, or value adjustments and track required corrections.
  • Complete and document real estate evaluations when certified appraisals are not required.
  • Coordinate appraisal ordering and appraiser selection, ensuring appropriate qualifications, scope, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Consult with appraisers regarding documentation needs and conduct property inspections as required.

Title, Environmental & Insurance Due Diligence:

  • Coordinate title insurance and survey requirements, including endorsements and removal of standard exceptions per Bank policy.
  • Review final title policies and ALTA surveys to identify issues impacting collateral.
  • Review environmental due diligence reports (e.g., EDRs, Phase I reports); assess elevated risk findings and recommend additional actions as needed in consultation with legal counsel.
  • Track and review hazard, liability, and flood insurance to ensure appropriate coverage and required bank designations.
  • Support flood due diligence during loan origination and servicing.

Construction Loan Administration:

  • Support construction loan administration from preapproval through disbursement.
  • Review construction requirements, contracts, sworn construction statements, and loan documentation.
  • Participate in preclosing calls with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor construction loan draws by reviewing budgets, invoices, lien waivers, inspections, and progress reports.
  • Enter and maintain loan data in construction loan platforms and coordinate thirdparty inspections when necessary.
  • Ensure builder’s risk and related insurance coverage is in place.
  • Monitor constructionrelated loan covenants and ensure consistent documentation practices.

Education, Experience, and Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in commercial lending and/or commercial real estate administration.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard PC and Windowsbased applications.
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to high service standards.
