Job Description
Applicants are required to be a registered voter in Converse County.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week dependent upon workload from early-July through mid-November (see below for more information.)
This is not a benefited position.
Duties of Temporary Elections Assistant

Duties of Temporary Elections Assistant
- Assist public within statutory 28-day period prior to each election for absentee voting.
- Assist public in person with voter registration, absentee voting, absentee ballot requests.
- Assist public via phone with absentee requests.
- Assist public with Data entry into election system.
- Filing of completed and verified voter registration forms and absentee ballot request forms.
- Assist with processing of early absentee ballots.
- Develop understanding of Converse County Voter District and Precinct numbers.
- Assist with public testing processes, election staging and preparation, and other election duties and tasks as assigned.
- Other Information:
- Hours during the day may vary depending on volume and workload;
- Start and end dates of position correlate with testing dates as well as the 28-day absentee ballot period before each election.
- Anticipated start date to be early July with the position ending by mid November 2026.
