About the Role:
The Expo plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining experience by acting as the vital link between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff. This position is responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate delivery of food orders, maintaining high standards of presentation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Expo must manage multiple orders simultaneously, communicate effectively with chefs and servers, and resolve any issues that arise during service. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Expo contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by facilitating seamless service and upholding the restaurant’s quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Expo or in a similar coordinating role within a restaurant.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
- Certification in food handling or safety.
- Ability to multitask effectively during high-volume service periods.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with kitchen staff and servers to manage order priorities and special requests.
- Inspect dishes for quality, presentation, and completeness before they leave the kitchen.
- Manage and organize multiple orders during peak service times to maintain smooth operations.
- Address and resolve any issues related to food orders or service delays promptly and professionally.
Skills:
The required skills such as communication and organizational abilities are essential for managing the flow of orders and coordinating between kitchen and service staff efficiently. Attention to detail ensures that every dish meets quality and presentation standards before reaching the customer. Physical stamina and the ability to work under pressure help the Expo maintain performance during busy service times. Preferred skills like familiarity with POS systems enhance the ability to track and manage orders accurately. Problem-solving and customer service skills enable the Expo to address issues quickly, ensuring a positive dining experience for guests.

Full time employees maintaining an average of 25 hours a week have an option to enroll in medical insurance and an HSA account while those who maintain 20 hours can choose to enroll in dental, vision, voluntary life, and pet Insurance. Employees are enrolled in the company’s 401k plan with an annual discretionary match after 500 hours of employment. Sick Leave is available for all front of house employees and accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.
